Ishrat Jahan encounter fake says magisterial report.

Ishrat Jahan a nineteen year old from Khalsa College,  Mumbai, along with three others was gunned down in June 2004. The police had then claimed these innocent people were Lashkar-e-Toiba operatives, alleged terrorists planning to kill the chief minister Narendra Modi.

An inquiry into the killings ordered by the Gujarat High court has revealed they were shot down in cold blood by the police officers. The report names 21 police officers as a party to the killings. These include police officers of very senior ranking including the commissioner.

The report claims IPS officer D.G. Vanzara’s men killed Javed first between 8:30 to 9:00 p.m. , followed by two others. Ishrat Jahan was killed later that night between 11:00 to 11:30 p.m., because she was a witness to the killings. Vanzara told the media the next morning that the four were killed after a dramatic police chase around 4.30am on June 15.

Ishrat’s mother Shamima had petitioned the Gujarat High Court.

Thus innocent people were brutally murdered by the police, so called guardians of the society, for glory.

This also brings to light the situation in Gujarat, the birth place of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi.
